Viognier of the Show
Following in the footsteps of the highly aclaimed 2006 Viognier, the Tallis Dookie Hills Viognier 2007 has just picked up a trophy for Viognier of the Show for the Cowra Wine Show. The Cowra Wine Show is the largest regional wine show in Australia attracting entrants from all around the country. The Tallisman members that attended our Barrel Hall Opening in August recieved a sneak preview of this wine, and will also recieve it in their September tasting pack.

Our Dookie Hills Viognier has just been awarded 5 stars, the highest possible rating, by Winestate Magazine. In the Central and Western Victoria tasting, the Tallis 2006 Viognier was the equal highest rating Viognier. So if you don't have this stunning wine in your cellar already, get in quick.

Without a doubt wine show accolades attract consumers interest and at times lead to increased wine sales, however this isn’t the reason we enter our wines in a small selection of wine shows each year. The wine show system provides us with valuable feedback on the quality of our wines by experienced wine judges. Wine shows, particularly local shows, also provide the opportunity to benchmark our wines against other wines and provide comparison from a quality point of view.
