Three stars for Tallis Dookie Hills Viognier 2010

  • 13th December, 2010

In the Winestate Magazine Central & Western Victoria tasting recently our 2010 Viognier was awarded 3 stars. Apricot and pineapple aromas meet honeysuckle and green pear on the palate of this wine. A hint of barrel-fermented nuttiness adds complexity and palate weight kept in check by crisp acidity. Fabulous on its own or wonderful with [...]

Three stars for the Tallis Dookie Hills Viognier 2008

  • 11th May, 2010

Winestate Magazine awarded three stars to our Dookie Hills Viognier 2008 in its recent new releases tasting. This wine won a silver medal at the Victorian Wine Show a couple of months ago so seem to be doing quite nicely. Not bad for an $18 bottle of wine, or even less if you are a [...]

      Regular: $18.00

      Tallisman: $13.50

The popularity of Rose continues to grow in Australia as this style of wine perfectly matches our love of seafood, and the lingering alfresco lunch.

Salmon-pink. Crushed strawberries and cherry blossom aromas present a very attractive nose. Excellent balance between refreshing acidity and fruit sweetness make this fun flirtatious wine just delightful for the warm Australian summer.

      ALC/VOL 13%. Approx 7.7 standard drinks. Preservative 220 added.

REVIEW. Tallis Dookie Hills Rose 2006 Recommended. Vivid red-purple; lively red cherry and strawberry running through a lingering, dry finish. Rating 89. James Halliday – Australian Wine Companion 2008 edition.
