New Cellar Door Opening
If you haven’t heard the news already the Tallis Wine Tasting Room is under construction and should be open in early 2012.
It’s Almost Here
Week after week, year after year we’ve been fielding requests from members and other wine enthusasts about when we are opening a cellar door and so we are excited to announce that it is finally happening.
Sitting comfortably on the hilside of the Tallis Wine Dookie property, the cellar door will have panoramic views over the Strathbogie ranges and beyond.
Initially it will be open every Saturday & Sunday 11.00am – 5pm or by appointment. We will also be running mini wine education and master class sessions so stay tuned for more details.
The Building Process
Over the last few months the landscape around Tallis Wine has transformed dramatically over.
It began with a new road winding up the hill above Tallis Wine, then framework appeared before timber, stone and straw bales saw the creation of our Tallis Cellar Door nestled into the landscape with panoramic views over Dookie and the Strathbogie Ranges.

Designing Green

Our passion and commitment to the environment and sustainability has led to the eco-sensitive design of our new Cellar Door.
We have minimized the impact of our building on the environment and maintained a sense of connectedness to the land using straw bales grown on the property, recycled or sustainable building materials and an energy efficient layout.
Construction is ticking along steadily, with the grand opening now scheduled for March 2012. With spectacular views of the region, extensive verandahs and picnic facilities it will be the place to be for a day of food and wine appreciation.
Bring your friends and let them share in the secret of Tallis Wine.
