    You never know what you might dig up in the Dookie Emporium.

    t's full of surprises, brimming with antiques, furniture, collectibles, books, vintage clothing and militaria.

    Set in the large, historic Mt Major Co-Op store, the Dookie Emporium is a treasure trove with something for everyone. The café serves superb locally roasted coffee, all day breakfast, delicious lunches and irresistible cakes and slices.

  • Rail trails and wanderings

    For the active, there are many opportunities to walk or cycle in the Dookie district, enjoying the wonderful countryside, native flora and fauna.

    Check out the Dookie Rail-trail 5 kilometres into the hills and 4 km towards Shepparton and Mulana nin iyoga walking trail, Mount Major - 4.6 km return.

  • Dookie's Flowering Gum

    Feast your eyes on Dookie’s Flowering Gum. Symbolising regeneration, optimism and inspiration, Dookie is celebrating the transformation and new life of its iconic sugar gum.

    Located on the main street of Dookie and despite the drought, the beautiful old gum recently blossomed with a flourish of 150 large spectacular red flowers. The fabulous handmade aluminium blooms (30cm in diameter and weighing approximately 100 gms each), were designed and created by local artist Andrew Sands from The Dookie Artists Tree, was supported and funded by Dookie Arts and the Greater City Shepparton Council.

  • Nomadic Silo Art

    Check out the Dookie Nomadic Silos - Art on wheels . The Dookie Nomadic Silo project is a silo trail with a twist, featuring sizeable artworks created by local and international artists on an assortment of up-cycled, decommissioned, portable grain silos. Locations are as follows:
