Pronounced: Bo-has-ker-ra
Appearance: Vibrant youthful raspberry red in colour. A similar hue and depth to Mouvedré
Nose: Some similarities with Nebbiolo. There are some delicate aromatics of English Breakfast tea, lifted cherry red fruit notes, and a hint of green pepper spice.
Palate: Medium body with vibrant fresh red fruits and well-integrated oak. A fine but firm tannin structure gives the wine great length and an appealing savory finish.
Drink: This wine has cellaring potential of up to 10 years

In an Australian first, Tallis Wine has grown and released a Turkish varietal, Boğazkere.
We are always interested in experimenting with new varieties in the vineyard and releasing obscure combinations like Sparkling Viognier. Over the last 10 years we have partnered with winemaker Robert Paul and viticultural consultant John Runting to establish a nursery in our vineyard for a new red grape Turkish varietal Boğazkere, never grown in Australia before and recently bottled and released.
